Colin's communication style was confusing. He was more than forthcoming on items that we didn't want a lengthy explanation for, which is ok. What was frustrating was when we requested information/answers, his responses were short and missing information, leading me to need to ask again. It also felt like he wasn't listening because he would ask me the same question several times.

A perfect example was our last phone call. He called me to ask how the house search was going and if we put an offer in on a specific home. I let him know we had not done that yet. He said ok, asked me another question, then asked me again, "so, you said you did put an offer in?". I let him know, "No, Colin, as I said, we have not put in an offer." I then let him, "Colin, we're going to have to go with a different lender". He asked for feedback/why. I let him know that his communication was confusing. He thanked me for the feedback, paused, then AGAIN asked me if we had put in an offer in on the house. I told him, "This is exactly what I was talking about by confusing communication, this is the third time I've told you in the past 5 minutes that we haven't put in an offer in"

He then HUNG UP ON ME. That was my last contact with Colin. Horrible experience, our next lender was much more clear, concise, and friendly.Read MoreRead Less
