I was assigned to Kiril through the Charles Schwab partnership in early March and it was a frustrating experience from day one. He was nearly unreachable — rarely answered calls, and ignored messages from both my buyer’s agent and the title/escrow team. For a time-sensitive mortgage process with a firm closing date, this was unacceptable.
After three weeks of vague communication and zero progress ...I was assigned to Kiril through the Charles Schwab partnership in early March and it was a frustrating experience from day one. He was nearly unreachable — rarely answered calls, and ignored messages from both my buyer’s agent and the title/escrow team. For a time-sensitive mortgage process with a firm closing date, this was unacceptable.
After three weeks of vague communication and zero progress on our debt-to-income ratio, we had no choice but to switch lenders entirely. Our new lender resolved the same DTI issue in three days. Three days versus three weeks tells you everything.
Kiril never proactively explained what the holdup was, never acknowledged our deadline, and showed no urgency despite repeated reminders. The lack of transparency and responsiveness wasn’t just inconvenient — it nearly cost us the home.
I’m genuinely unsure how he carries positive reviews. If you’re working with Rocket Mortgage through Schwab, I’d strongly recommend requesting a different loan officer upfront. Don’t let poor communication jeopardize a major financial transaction the way it nearly did for us.Read MoreRead Less
