If I could give zero stars, I would. Travis Wilson was hands down the least responsive, least knowledgeable, and least helpful mortgage banker I’ve ever encountered. We refinanced our condo at roughly 50% LTV — something that should have been smooth and straightforward — and instead it dragged on for over two months.

Travis Wilson was hands down the least responsive, least knowledgeable, and least helpful mortgage banker I’ve ever encountered. We refinanced our condo at roughly 50% LTV — something that should have been smooth and straightforward — and instead it dragged on for over two months.

Throughout the entire process, Travis was either away, unavailable, or would give the same canned response of “I’m working on it” with no meaningful updates or progress. There was zero initiative, zero communication, and zero accountability.

In the end, the only reason this deal closed at all was because I personally had to step in and bring in my Schwab representative to push things over the finish line. I can honestly say I lost years of my life dealing with this ordeal. And to top it all off, Travis even tried sneaking in points at closing — charges that were never disclosed upfront. As if that wasn’t enough, his out-of-office literally ran through December 31. Who does that?

I would strongly recommend steering clear of Travis Wilson and Rocket Mortgage altogether. Save yourself the frustration — there are far better, more professional lenders out there.Read MoreRead Less
