My husband and I reached out to Daniel on November 24, 2025, with interest in refinancing our home. This was our second time refinancing, so we were familiar with the general process; however, this was our first and last time refinancing with Rocket Mortgage.
This entire process has been anything but professional. From our initial contact, Daniel assured us that this would be a quick and easy experience, which unfortunately was not the case. We repeatedly verified a loan that appeared on our credit report by submitting the loan agreement, monthly statements, and even calling the company directly, yet we continued to be told it was a lien on our home rather than a loan. It was, in fact, a loan, not a lien.
In mid-December, I contacted Rocket Mortgage to check on the status of our loan because our closing documents kept changing without any explanation. No one reached out to discuss these changes, yet we were still being asked to schedule a closing. It wasn’t until we considered pulling out of the loan due to lack of communication that Daniel finally contacted us.
The final issue occurred on closing day. We scheduled closing for February 21 at 5:30 PM—nearly two months later—at 6:15 we texted t the closing agent for an eta and she responded saying she was still 35 minutes away. Never once reaching out to us to let us know she wouldn't arrive until 6:50 for a 5:30 appointment. Because we had prior commitments, we were forced to reschedule, which resulted in additional closing costs for us.
Overall, this process has been extremely frustrating and far from a positive experience. I am hopeful that moving forward Rocket Mortgage will be more professional and that we will not encounter any further issues that could impact our home.Read MoreRead Less
