Oscar was terrific! He gave me several hours of his time on lengthy phone discussions going over the details of Rocket Mortgage's offer and process and evaluating my scenarios for refinancing. He was very knowledgeable and experienced with how the Rocket Mortgage would proceed, including the portions of the process that were particularly confusing, he knew in advance that's how it would go.
He was a pleasure to work with and I'd recommend him to anyone in the future. My only comment on the entirety of the process to share with the reader is that Rocket Mortgage did not do a good job of obtaining the absolute latest payoff statements from my prior bank for either my mortgage or HELOC and it took a lot of last minute pressure for me to get them to do that. As a result, they were way off on their closing projections and actually failed to pay off my HELOC in as timely a manner as they intended to. I'm very happy with the overall experience and the financial outcome, but I think, particularly since they intend to move so quickly and efficiently, they should have taken this more seriously than they did. He was so calm and also knew the whole banking process so well, I was always in good hands. Chris kept me informed through the whole process. I didn’t have electronic signature on my phone. He and another employee helped me download your mini app. It ended up being so helpful. Chris was organized and extremely patient. Our refinance was in the range I hoped for. He listened well. He always seemed to like his job because no matter what help we needed, he was always there for us. Getting a refinance was incredibly easy compared to others I’ve done over my adult life.The banking I’ve done with Rocket Mortgage was respectful, fair, mostly easy and completed in a shorter amount of time than possible with traditional businesses. Chris had all the people including the notary on time. I was amazed at how your company has such a well coordinated group of people including people in my home.
