My experience with Rocket Mortgage, specifically with Carl Mack, has been nothing short of terrible. After multiple delays and an appraisal that undervalued the property by $30,000, Carl assured us yesterday that we could close within 48 hours. This turned out to be a blatant lie. When I reached out today to follow up directly, instead of taking accountability, he pushed me off to another person, Yvonne Jones, who admitted the earliest possible close date would be October 6th.
We have been waiting to close since September 24th. Meanwhile, the buyer’s lease has expired, my lenders need to be paid back, and the constant delays have caused significant stress and hardship.
The entire experience has been marked by dishonesty, lack of integrity, poor communication, and a refusal to take responsibility. Calls go unanswered, promises are broken, and when pressed for answers, the blame is passed around and the customer is gaslit. I even asked to speak with a supervisor, who didn’t have the decency to get on the phone.
Take my advice: only work with local lenders who know and care about their community. Rocket Mortgage may appear to save you money upfront, but the mental anguish, stress, and lack of professionalism are simply not worth it in the long run.Read MoreRead Less
