Anything to do with house financing is inherently complicated and anxiety filling. Steve made the process simple and understandable. I was surprised at how easy the process was and his projections were right on the money. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I think this is 100% due to how he communicated and responded when we had questions.

I was in process of refinancing with my current bank when my wife decided to check with Rocket Mortgage. Steve was assigned the help us with the loan refinance. I informed Steve that I knew my credit score and that I didn't want to run my credit again if he couldn't not offer better rates than what we currently had. He encouraged us and was adamant on running a credit check because he promised he...I was in process of refinancing with my current bank when my wife decided to check with Rocket Mortgage. I informed Steve that I knew my credit score and that I didn't want to run my credit again if he couldn't not offer better rates than what we currently had. He encouraged us and was adamant on running a credit check because he promised he would provide better rates than we currently had. The rate and payments we ended up getting from Steve were no where close to being better.

If you don't want to give your SS# "You don't have to". I recommend going to other banks who would love to give you free estimates without running unnecessary credit checks.
