When you're in that "searching the world for a mortgage" mode, it can be difficult to differentiate between the large number of responding firms. I can say that when I spoke with Courtney Kossel for the first time, I felt confident that I was going to go with Rocket Mortgage as long as the numbers came out right for me, and they did. I can say that when I spoke with Courtney Kossel for the first time, I felt confident that I was going to go with Rocket Mortgage as long as the numbers came out right for me, and they did. Courtney has a great combination of friendliness, professionalism and directness. Typically, when you start asking questions of the average mortgage banker, you get a lot of meaningless responses that net out to "commit to a mortgage with us, and THEN we'll tell you the terms". I never felt that way with Courtney. I knew from the first call what a solid estimate of my refinance was (she ended up being within TWO DOLLARS a month of the actual closing numbers). I never felt like she was holding something back until I had money in the game. She always made sure I had the answers I needed, all the way through the process. She regularly checked on me to make sure I wasn't hitting any snags on my end, and that I was comfortable with how things were going.
