Babak Motamedi engaged in a bait-and-switch tactic with my loan.

In September, after agreeing to specific terms with Babak, I committed to close my mortgage deal with him. I was assured that my rate was finalized, but Babak never locked it in. As my closing date approached, I was hit with an unexpected 0.75% rate increase, along with a reduced credit for fees. When I asked Babak to at least lower...Babak Motamedi engaged in a bait-and-switch tactic with my loan.

As my closing date approached, I was hit with an unexpected 0.75% rate increase, along with a reduced credit for fees. When I asked Babak to at least lower the rate by 0.25%, he instead added a 0.25% discount point **at my expense**.

If you’re reading this, I strongly advise you not to trust Babak’s promises. And if you've already found yourself in a similar situation, consider filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB).Read MoreRead Less

Started strong, then as nearing completion he did not follow through timely and cost us a better rate by his delays. his leader was supposed to call, but that never happened either. don't recommend.
