We were planning to have a simultaneous closing so no mortgage would be required. Our buyer backed out three weeks before closing. We had a nonrefundable deposit on our purchase. I called Amanda because my sister had used her about 6 months prior and gave rave reviews. So, I told Amanda we had 3 weeks to get this done. My wife worked for 20 years in the mortgage division of a competitor who we chose not to even consider.
