I’m a West-Texas VET and while I was in a VA Hospital it got me to thinking more about making sure my wife is taken care of. So, I asked some of the vets who it was that I could talk to about getting a VA home loan. And once I received my approval I saw an ad about VA Home loans through Rocket Mortgage while at the hospital and I gave them a call and eventually they coupled me up with a young man ...I’m a West-Texas VET and while I was in a VA Hospital it got me to thinking more about making sure my wife is taken care of. So, I asked some of the vets who it was that I could talk to about getting a VA home loan. And once I received my approval I saw an ad about VA Home loans through Rocket Mortgage while at the hospital and I gave them a call and eventually they coupled me up with a young man by the name of Brian Hegedus, a Purchase Banker with Rocket Mortgage, who helped get me approved with Rocket Mortgage for a home loan. Then he set me up with a realty company. (a heads-up: I am 64 years old and my wife says I look like a serious judge and I’m opinionated)… so in one and a half months I went through two realty companies before getting the realtor I felt comfortable with. I even dropped out of one property deal after the paper work had been done. Brian put up with my contrariness with a bit of humor and amazing self-control and let me know that there were no dumb questions, but I believe I thought up a few! Then I finally found the one I really liked and we did the paper work and it went through! And the whole time I felt as if though I was in charge; however, Brian was leading me through the whole process and everything thereafter went smoothly right up to closing. The online process is quick, precise, secure and user friendly. I frequently received timely updates that kept me informed and on track. Rick's entire staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Rick and his staff would respond quickly and courteously consistently. I wrote Rick on numerous occasions to simply clarify questions, not expecting a response until the next day. To my amazement - I would receive an email that evening, AFTERHOURS. I wrote him on a Friday evening panicked about making sure I met a deadline, he returned the email with a personal phone call- all to put me at ease before the weekend.
