George said he would get back to me to lock in a rate if it looked like it would go up. He didn't contact me until afterwards. Now I have to pay an extra $100 per month for my mortgage. Do not recommend.

Jacob was true to his words. I told him what I wanted in a home mortgage (My Bank would not help) and how much I had to bring to the table and he said Rocket Mortgage could accommodate MY needs. What we discussed and the dollar amounts on day one were spot on and within a few hundred dollars on closing day.

Babak Motamedi engaged in a bait-and-switch tactic with my loan.

In September, after agreeing to specific terms with Babak, I committed to close my mortgage deal with him. I was assured that my rate was finalized, but Babak never locked it in. As my closing date approached, I was hit with an unexpected 0.75% rate increase, along with a reduced credit for fees. When I asked Babak to at least lower...Babak Motamedi engaged in a bait-and-switch tactic with my loan.

In September, after agreeing to specific terms with Babak, I committed to close my mortgage deal with him. I was assured that my rate was finalized, but Babak never locked it in. As my closing date approached, I was hit with an unexpected 0.75% rate increase, along with a reduced credit for fees. When I asked Babak to at least lower the rate by 0.25%, he instead added a 0.25% discount point **at my expense**.

If you’re reading this, I strongly advise you not to trust Babak’s promises. And if you've already found yourself in a similar situation, consider filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB).Read MoreRead Less
