Derek is most efficient and knowledgeable in refinancing. While mine was a HARP loan, it took only a week to get approval and turn it over o the processors. The weakest link in the process was the title people..as a retired real estate/title insurance paralegal I complied with their, though most things asked for were unnecessary. They were able and willing to combine my first and second mortgage on my house into a consolidated single mortgage, whereas my current mortgage holder (that I had had for 7 years and never paid late, etc.) was unwilling to do so, presumably because they could make more money from me.
