The commercials don't do the process justice. I talked to Derek in January and told him we wanted to refinance in March. Derek called me back on the exact day I mentioned and I couldn't believe how smoothly the process went.

The weakest link in the process was the title people..as a retired real estate/title insurance paralegal I complied with their, though most things asked for were unnecessary. They were able and willing to combine my first and second mortgage on my house into a consolidated single mortgage, whereas my current mortgage holder (that I had had for 7 years and never paid late, etc.) was unwilling to do so, presumably because they could make more money from me.
