Jad articulated well and spoke at a pace one could understand verses many message I receive from Rocket Mortgage where the talk so fast I can not write the call back number down or even understand what their name was. He also was accommodating in texting me when he was going to be calling so I would answer since I get so much spam calls I do not answer numbers I do not know.

The end result was good because I did receive the loan. However the process of getting to that point needs improvement. Jad offered me a $5,000 loan which after some thought I agreed to pursue it. This when the problems began. He initiated the loan and informed me that he would out of town and members of his team would assist me in his absence. Well I started to review the paperwork and immediately saw a problem with loan. In the beginning I clearly stated to Jad I wanted $5,000 net and all associated fees to be attached to the loan, but the loan amount was approximately $200 short of the agreed upon amount. I proceeded to contact his temporary fill in. Her response was less than professional. By that I mean, when I discussed the issue it become a tad bit confrontational/accusatory because the blame for the mistake was put on me and why I didn't speak up before the loan was processed. This put me on the defensive and I explained I did and this is why I am calling. Needless to say I was very upset with confrontational/accusatory response so I hung up and decided to talk to another team member. Her response to me situation was less than desirable as well, because said the $4,788 was pretty close and that should be okay. I expressed my displeasure and said that I would bring the matter up to Jad when he returned which I did. I mentioned that I was very dissatisfied with his team members' responses as they were inappropriate. I mentioned that I wanted the agreed upon amount as I clearly stated in the beginning or I was going to cancel the loan. Well after some discussion a $200 VISA debit card was issued to partially compensate me for the agreed upon loan amount. I am providing more detail than you probably expected, but I did it for a reason. When a loan agent is scheduled to leave a client in the middle of a loan application, the hand off to team members should be complete and accurate so they can complete the loan process and satisfy the customer. This did not happen because I had to call and talk to team members to straighten the loan amount out to what I asked for. He did make things right in the end which I am happy for. But the two things that standout are that some of the team members need to work on their communication skills, professionalism(lack of) when handling a customer complaint. A better procedure for handing off loans needs to be developed so that when loan agents go on vacation, their clients' loans are properly completed with a degree of professionalism and accuracy. Professionalism in how they talk and respond to customers. Being confrontational/accusatory or saying to the customers "Oh $4,788 is close enough is not how you handle customers.
