I reached out to Miranda for an initial consultation with the transparent intention of lender shopping. Not only did she provide fast & quality responses, she also included context & answers for questions that I hadn't thought to ask. In addition, while she expressed her full confidence in Rocket Mortgage's ability to be competitive, she whole-heartedly supported my interest in shopping, because she wanted me to select my lender with full confidence.

The twist is that I never got around to shopping other lenders. Why? Because my levels of trust and comfort with Miranda as my banker had risen much faster than I was expecting. When Miranda responded to my inquiries about market info, advertised offerings of other lenders, etc., all of her information checked out against my own initial research. Throughout the process, Miranda had unwavering patience for every last question that I had, all while I could hear her smile over the phone. It didn't take long at all to know and feel that I was in good hands.

While the online process was streamlined and easy to understand, Miranda still took the time to call and check in, just in case I had any additional questions or needed anything else. The only awkward part of my refinance experience was noticing my own lingering expectations a la "big financial transactions like this are supposed to be long and complex", and checking it against how easy the process actually was.
