They often made me feel inadequate, as though my questions were bothersome...I’ve had the privilege of working with Avis Zoma at Rocket for over a year, and I can confidently say that he’s one of the most compassionate and knowledgeable professionals I’ve ever encountered. In fact, Avis is the only reason I stayed with Rocket.

When we first met, I had some challenging experiences with other lenders. They often made me feel inadequate, as though my questions were bothersome or repetitive. However, Avis was completely different. He never talked down to me or made me feel uncomfortable, even when I needed things explained multiple times. As someone who is neurodivergent, I learn best through repetition, and Avis was incredibly patient. He always took the time to ensure I fully understood everything, making me feel respected and valued instead of embarrassed or rushed. He truly has an amazing ability to break down complex financial matters in a way that makes sense to anyone.
There was one instance where Avis spent almost an hour on the phone with me, thoroughly explaining the process, interest rates, down payments, points, and more. He patiently answered all my questions and made sure I felt comfortable and fully understood everything. His dedication to ensuring I grasped the details and felt confident was truly remarkable.

Avis consistently went above and beyond. At one point, he found a great rate and called me right away, concerned that I might miss the opportunity. His proactive approach was truly exceptional, and his weekly calls or texts just to check in, without pressure, were reassuring. He wasn’t just doing a job; he was ensuring I felt supported throughout the process.

What really solidified my trust in Avis was his honesty and transparency. At one point, I was confused about why the buyer and seller accounts weren’t visible to each other within Rocket’s system. Avis took the time to explain the process and clarify why the accounts were kept separate, addressing my concerns with clear and thoughtful answers. His thoroughness in explaining these details helped me understand the system better and reinforced my trust in his expertise.

Avis isn’t just good at his job—he’s outstanding. He should be in a leadership role, guiding others with the same compassion and care that he’s shown me. Honestly, he deserves a raise and a promotion for the level of dedication, expertise, and support he provides. I would trust Avis to handle my most personal and private financial accounts—that’s how much confidence I have in his abilities. He’s that trustworthy and exceptional.
