My interest rate kept going up. It started at 9%. I then received a letter saying it was 9.8%. When I questioned this, I was told it was because the house didn’t appraise for as much as he put in for. I was then told he could get it to 9.2 but I wouldn’t be able to borrow as much. I accepted the 9.8 but then was told it would be 10.1 if I want to borrow the original amount. He told me that ...My interest rate kept going up. It started at 9%. He told me that the letter I had signed agreeing to the 9.8 was sent before the appraisal came back. Why send a letter having me agree to 9.8 before the appraisal if I was originally supposed to get 9.0? If I didn’t have 3.5% on my home loan, I would refinance the house and the second mortgage with a different lender. I’m sure another lender could give someone with a 750+ credit score a better rate than 9%. This might be one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made.Read MoreRead Less
