I am not sure how to rate Eli. He was super helpful in the initial stages of getting the loan approved and was able to assist where other Rocket individuals were involved as sort of a communication conduit. Rocket is pushing volume and you will find many people involved that are not all on the same page and communcation is sketchy most of the time. Rocket is pushing volume and you will find many people involved that are not all on the same page and communcation is sketchy most of the time. Eli did a good job of being our voice in that process where Rocket was involved. A few lessons I learned: 1. If Rocket begins to add in numerous contingencies for your loan, move on to another lender. This caused us headaches because Rocket wanted to call the shots by placing contingencies that they could not help with as the process got more involved. We were pretty much told there is nothing they can do but re-write the loan, which they knew we wouldnt do because of timelines. They talk a good game, but all of the other parties involved do not communicate with each other to solve problems. If buyers and sellers were knowledgeable in the legalities of real estate, we would not need all of these people to get involved. But the industry is very unregulated, which attracts all fo the middleman companies that help service home loans. And each entity has its fees to do its part. Rocket is no different, don't fork over any money until you get ALL of the numbers; interest rate, payments, and all of the fees. Although Eli was efficient with relaying information and going over the numbers with us, AGAIN there are plenty of other parties involved with fees that Rocket does not or cannot disclose. 2. Do your research on their 'affiliated' agents. I was so hyped for the discount on the interest rate by using an assigned agent that we ended up with one of their affiliated agents that did not know what he was doing. He was really just lazy and ineffective to the point I would have preferred we use a monkey from the local zoo! To put into perspective, if I shared emails and texts, you would think this agent worked for the people buying our house, not OUR agent working for us, that we were PAYING commission to! The interest rate discount is great, BUT research the agent. Eli was very responsive when we requested the change in agents and I promptly researched this one. Overall, I will rate Eli low to grab the eye of other people looking for honest feedback. Having dealt with loan specialists prior, he is a good kid with a great relationship-building skillset for sales. But he is with Rocket and he is expected to push volume and that is where the kinks in the armor show. He cannot get on the same page with all of the people involved in the process. In an industry where most people are making the biggest purchase of their lives, along with it being so unregulated and filled with middlemen ready to pick your pocket, if I could go back and re-do this loan, I would have stuck with a more local bank or credit union. I thought trying a huge company like Rocket would chisel away some of the interest rate but they are all the same, local or big box. STICK WITH A LOCAL LENDER. And make sure they disclose all of the numbers before you commit or hand them any money. I would give Eli 5 stars but Rocket only gets 1 star.Read MoreRead Less

I can’t say enough great things about Eli. He truly produced results for us for our house transaction. When I fist spoke to Eli, he listened to our needs and wants and wanted to come up with a solution. Doing some reach search online, I thought I had wanted a certain loan to be able to buy a new house before we sold our old house. Eli explained this really isn’t the best choice for us, he was just plain honest. Could he sell us this loan? Yes, but I really appreciated that he didn’t think it would be the best choice for us. Instead he gave me his take on it, which was perfect. When I realized he didn’t want to just sell me on anything, I knew he could be trusted. Eli asked me if I had a realtor and I said I wanted to ask my old one. Well that was hard to get a hold of my old one, so I asked him for a referral for a realtor. Having some trust in Eli was the best choice to sell and buy. Eli linked us up with an amazing realtor locally, so having an amazing lender and realtor, it created a force that really gave my wife and I a competitive edge against the other buyers. Eli’s amazing communication to me, my realtor and seller’s for a few offers, really amazed some of the sellers realtors. I’m happy to report, because of Eli, and his referral of our realtor, we were able to lock in and buy the most amazing house. We sold our old house and bought a new one and CLOSED THE SAME DAY AND TIME. Who do you know that is able to do this in this market?! Was it easy? No but Eli seriously made it happen.
