Jay Carter contacted me by phone to tell me he could lower my mortgage interest rates. Since I had just recently re-financed to Rocket Mortgage about 9 months earlier, I was doubtful but when he told me how much lower I could still go with a new rate, I listened. He started immediately that night and by the next day, my loan application was completed (on-line) and I was on my way. I was referred to Jay by another Rocket Mortgage representative when I was calling in regards to a refinance on a rental property that I had once lived in as our primary residence. I expressed that I was more interested in obtaining a mortgage on a home that we had renovated and moved into during the collapse of the market. I expressed that I was more interested in obtaining a mortgage on a home that we had renovated and moved into during the collapse of the market. We put blood, sweat and tears into this home and wanted to come full-circle by having the mortgage on both properties instead of just being renters ourselves. I thought that it could not be done.
At the time, there was nothing that the representative could do on our rental property and was handed over to Jay.
Jay was always professional and answered my questions in a very timely manner. He made the whole process very easy to understand and I trusted him but, I still thought that obtaining two mortgages was not possible. With all of the companies out there that just want your money, I never felt that it was a "shady" deal. He had patience throughout the entire process. When I was handed off to the "next step" and I was not comfortable with the individuals that were handling the end of the process, I called Jay and he handled the process until the end never making me feel like it was "not his job".
