My record of active duty service was lost in a VA facility fire years ago. I found this out after requesting a VA eligibility certificate. Basically Uncle Sam lost my SRB and with it my War Veteran status. Nick reassured me that he could get it (VA Loan) done with the copy of my DD-214 I had retained.
