I was looking for a mortgage company to assist me in buying a home, i was moving from Virginia to Florida and wanted to get qualified so i knew what price range was best for my budget, I am a USAF veteran so i looked at military .com and i saw Rocket Mortgages loans, I had seen how Rocket Mortgages loans had helped to many different charities i decided send a email for more information. I was contacted by Shane Kelly who was very helpful and understanding that this process might take some time, We did the pre approval at that time, I then moved to Florida on Dec. 28th 2015 , Started looking for my new home, Several i found but the home inspections i found several costly things wrong, On one home i had started the closing with Shane then decided to much cost in repairs, He just said no problem lets move on, I found a home at a great price and we started the process, He sent me all the info he needed to process the loan, and i closed on Feb 29th.. Shane was more than a mortgage guy trying to make his money, he got me the best interest rates at the time and kept in touch to make sure everything was going ok . I had my realtor contact Shane to also help with the process.. Evan was nice and attentive. However, he was a little too zealous in his attention. There was an issue on the Rocket Mortgage side in regards to my name spelling. I am very busy throughout the day, however this did not stop him from rushing me on several occasions after I had already touched the docs during the day. I don't think that was his intention to rush me, he was just trying to get everything straight to submit, but it was not awesome to have someone call multiple times in a day because their side of the work still wasn't correct. Word of advice, don't contact people on the weekends via phone unless you have their permission to. And try not to call people more than once throughout the day, especially when the mistake with the paperwork is on the Rocket Mortgage side and not on the borrower side. Make sure the problem is completely resolved and THEN contact the borrower to complete the paperwork. It's frustrating to keep signing or logging in to see the paperwork is still not correct.
