Garrett, or any Home Loan Expert, should start out telling the applicant that you will be interviewed and everything you say will need to be independently verified at least once. I was told that the information provided was required by federal regulations. I was told that the information provided was required by federal regulations. It felt very invasive and, at times, downright insulting like when my financial advisor had to provide a signed letter confirming my 401K withdrawal plan instead of accepting the standard confirmation form from my investment company. Garrett did a great job trying to smooth things over, but if I were him, I would warn applicants in advance. I may not use Rocket Mortgage in the future.
