Either he's intentionally deceitful or willfully ignorant. Least transparent communicator I've ever worked with. Talked in circles and rarely answered our questions satisfactorily. Examples of why I'll never work with Andre or Rocket Mortgage ever again:

1). We were told qualified for the lowest rate offered at the time (6.5%). No surprise, our credit rating was 833. It wasn't until we got...Either he's intentionally deceitful or willfully ignorant. Least transparent communicator I've ever worked with. Talked in circles and rarely answered our questions satisfactorily. Examples of why I'll never work with Andre or Rocket Mortgage ever again:

1). We were told qualified for the lowest rate offered at the time (6.5%). No surprise, our credit rating was 833. It wasn't until we got our loan estimate that we found out that we'd have to buy down to that rate for $9,616. Information he failed to tell us at the time we got pre-qualified, presumably so that by the time we found out what the cost was we were too far down the road to switch lenders. Speaking of switching lenders...

2). A week before closing, Andre called me and told me our documents might not clear through Rocket's insanely ridiculous process in time. So I told him that I'd had enough and would be switching lenders (which he knew would cost me thousands of dollars). He called me back not an hour later saying we were good to close. So, I stopped the process of getting pre-qualified by the other bank. Then...

3). Two days before closing I get a call from another person at Rocket explaining that our documents were under scrutiny again and it may take up to three weeks together cleared to close. Andre couldn’t even deliver that news himself, likely because of the tongue lashing he’d gotten from my realtor (possibly the nicest young man on Earth btw).

Horrible experience with him and Rocket in general. I can’t wait to refinance.Read MoreRead Less
