In our recent purchase in New Hampshire, our loan officer, Justin Arsenault, took incredible care of us. We had a configuration and rate we wanted, and through talent, dedication, and an incredible breadth of knowledge, Justin got us there and took amazing care of us. In the end, not only did he meet the levels we wanted, but he also got us a lower rate and other, better terms than we expected, and terms other firms said they couldn’t offer. From there, he managed the rest of the team amazingly well, with each person carrying the ball toward the goalposts. We always had Justin watching over our shoulders, making sure things were going right, answering our questions at all hours, and ensuring we felt confident throughout the process. I don’t know if I’d ever want to get a loan any other way with anyone else again. We got TLC, 24/7 support, and an easy portal to do business through, and a series of experts clearly directed by the chief expert exceptionally well. My first experience with Rocket was very positive which is why it's so disappointing that my refinance with Ameer was terrible. Communication in the beginning was pushy and almost aggressive. Multiple texts a day pushing me to sign. I have texts from him indicating that I would not owe closing costs if I pursued the refinance and that turned out to be very incorrect. I have texts from him indicating that I would not owe closing costs if I pursued the refinance and that turned out to be very incorrect. I almost walked away from the refinance altogether. Had another team not stepped in to assist I would have. And due to the delay that resulted from this, I ended up having to pay even more in closing costs than was originally presented ($1100 initially, ended up paying $1645 due to the delay). He essentially ghosted me after I signed the intent to proceed. He has not responded to any texts or emails I have sent since, including big deal questions about where to pay the closing costs that I was, in fact, required to pay for this loan. There were discrepancies between what the website and the paperwork provided said about who to pay. Had the Closing team not reached out to me about the unpaid amount I would not have been able to make a payment. Even then, I ended up being forced to pay $1754 instead of what my paperwork indicated. My direct feedback to the person who rescued this loan was that I felt very misled about this loan. He either does not fully understand what he's selling or he is being intentionally manipulative to boost his numbers. I would not recommend Ameer to anyone.Read MoreRead Less
