I’m a disabled veteran who was wrongly told by Justin Keith, Executive Loan Officer at Rocket Mortgage, that I wasn’t eligible for a VA loan. Based on that bad advice, I sold $39,419 in stock to make a 20% down payment on a conventional loan—incurring unnecessary capital gains taxes.

Justin didn’t acknowledge his mistake until I told him I was seeking a second opinion. Justin didn’t acknowledge his mistake until I told him I was seeking a second opinion. Even then, he claimed my eligibility was just “lucky” and credited his own eye for a legal loophole—rather than admitting he gave an uninformed answer without verifying the facts.
