Richard was nice, helpful, and seemed to care about answering my questions. However, I do feel some things were misleading with the process as I was told I would get a 1% discounted rate the first year for having my previous mortgage through Rocket. I was comparing rates and he sold me on this. However, Rocket turned around and charged me a 1% buy down rate for the 1st year without my knowledge...Richard was nice, helpful, and seemed to care about answering my questions. When I questioned this before signing and closing I was told this is just something they do. Basically, making me pay an extra 1% down on interest to get the 1% discount. Very misleading and cost me a lot more at closing without complete transparency. I lost trust in Rocket at that point and am frustrated that everywhere you go someone is trying to scam you.
