Tom needs to be cloned! He is truly an asset to your company. Getting a mortgage can be a long and tiedious process. Tom made my new mortgage experience smooth and easy. My experience with Menal was not outrageously terrible, but it also was not outstanding and was frustrating much of the time. The overall Rocket Mortgage experience was borderline unacceptable, and unfortunately Menal was in a frontline position. In the beginning of the home buying process, Menal was effective in communication and initializing the mortgage. As the process went on, she became less and less responsive. When document clarification was required from underwriting, there was a complete breakdown in communication, to the point that it took me almost 3 weeks to get a straight answer on what I needed to submit in order to send my mortgage to the end stage. This breakdown was the catalyst that led to my delayed closing date, which almost lost me the home. My situation was not super traditional for a mortgagee, and she had a profound lack of knowledge on how to handle the situation, and how to communicate the needs of the company.
