My journey with Rocket Mortgage began almost a year ago, and to be honest, my initial impression was not great. The first representative I spoke with dismissed me due to my credit score, making me feel as though I wasn’t worth their time. However, that all changed when I connected with Mike.

I’m not sure how I ended up working with him, but I’m incredibly grateful that I did. Unlike my first experience, Mike took the time to explain the credit process in detail and provided clear guidance on what steps I needed to take. He stayed with me through every inquiry, offering support and encouragement along the way. Within just a month of following his advice, my credit score increased significantly—so much so that another Rocket Mortgage representative suddenly became interested in closing my loan.

At that point, I made it clear: if I wasn’t closing with Mike, I’d take my business elsewhere. The trust I built with him was invaluable. Mike is not just a salesman; he’s a professional who listens, understands, and genuinely cares about his clients. He never pressured me into making a decision before I was ready, nor did he prioritize commission over my needs. Instead, he ensured that I felt comfortable and informed throughout the entire process.

The only downside is that Mike, like any great loan officer, moves on to help the next client after closing a deal. My hope is that I’ll have the opportunity to work with him again in the future.

From my experience, Rocket Mortgage is a better company because of Mike. He represented my concerns, respected my timeline, and remained honest and supportive at every step.
