Maya was pleasant to work with, but initially she told me that we would not need my wife's income for the loan application. Later, the loan processor kept insisting we provide proof of income beyond paystubs and W-2.

While additional documentation can sometimes be required during the loan process based on underwriting requirements, I recognize that I could have communicated this more clearly upfront and set better expectations.
