Our mortgage officer was responsive, professional, and always kind throughout the process, which we truly appreciated. However, the experience overall could have been much smoother. Despite providing every document requested promptly, there was quite a bit of back and forth that could have been avoided with clearer communication from the start.

For example, we spent a week going in circles about funds from abroad before being told they wouldn’t be accepted — something that should have been clarified upfront. Additionally, when they suggested increasing the loan amount, it wasn’t made clear that doing so would raise the interest rate. Each time we reviewed the documents, new points were added, even though we had been explicit from the beginning that we did not want any.

While we recognize and appreciate his responsiveness and good intentions, the overall process felt confusing and at times frustrating. Clearer guidance and transparency early on would have made a big difference.Read MoreRead Less

I was skeptical. I did a lot of research before contacting Rocket (I didn’t quite believe they were legit- so many things are scams nowadays). But after confirming they were a legitimate and major lending company, I filled out a form online to refinance and was graced with Andrew as my agent. My experience was exceptional. I actually was sad when I went to closing that Andrew wasn’t my “closer”. (Also five stars for that process though!)
