After getting preapproved by ryan for a home loan he informed us that he needed to work with his underwriting team for a preapproval letter and that the turn around on that was usually 48hrs. After waiting about a week and not hearing anything we decided to reach out. After waiting about a week and not hearing anything we decided to reach out. He informed us we needed to send in additional bank statements and after receiving them he said everything was trending in the right direction. After this we again, didn’t hear from him for about another week so we contacted him. He took a few days to get back to us to inform us we weren’t approved after all. That our debt to income was too high. I’m very frustrated with the time that was wasted during this process and the lack of communication with Ryan. I suppose it all worked out for the best because the next time we worked with an amazing loan officer who was able to provide us with a preapproval letter in hand in under 24hrs of first speaking with him. And he approved us for 10k more than what Rocket Mortgage originally offered. I will not be working with Rocket Mortgage in the future.Read MoreRead Less
