I was attempting to look into refinancing my mortgage, beginning the week of December 8, 2025 with Rocket Mortgage and was contacted by Steven Sakar.

Mr. Sakar was very demanding that I speak on the phone, even contacting me via email and text after hours, on top of attempting continual phone calls. He wouldn't answer questions in a straightforward manner and answered any question with another ...I was attempting to look into refinancing my mortgage, beginning the week of December 8, 2025 with Rocket Mortgage and was contacted by Steven Sakar.

Mr. Sakar was very demanding that I speak on the phone, even contacting me via email and text after hours, on top of attempting continual phone calls. He wouldn't answer questions in a straightforward manner and answered any question with another immediate phone call, paying no attention to my schedule or prior commitments. He seemed very intent on dodging questions and responded with rudeness and condescension whenever I asked anything.

He didn't seem to pay attention to details; getting my name incorrect in email correspondence and seeming annoyed and arrogant when asking for clarification. When attempting to talk about closing costs, he demanded that I fill out another application and when asked about the original application, only responded with "Expired after 72 hours".

I hope this is not how Rocket Mortgage treats all potential customers. I will be refinancing my mortgage, but will not use Rocket Mortgage and will encourage friends and customers to avoid this company as well, because of my interactions with Mr. Sakar.

Frankly, working with this person felt like interacting with a used car salesman.

I am requesting that no further attempts at contact be made from Mr. Sakar to me, to include emails, texts, or phone calls.Read MoreRead Less
