Samantha was our assigned loan specialist assisting us with an assumption loan. It was overall a very frustrating experience working with her. We were expecting her to help us through the process but that never happened. The only way she wanted to communicate with us was through e-mail. If we called Samantha, she would not answer. It was overall a very frustrating experience working with her. We were expecting her to help us through the process but that never happened. The only way she wanted to communicate with us was through e-mail. If we called Samantha, she would not answer. We scheduled a call with her and basic customer skills were lacking to put it nicely. E-mail responses were short, unprofessional, and usually didn’t answer all our questions, leading to more back and forth. When our loan made it to underwriting, we found out from another loan specialist that our loan was on hold and was most likely going to be rejected due to the strict timelines for assumption loans. We reached out to Samantha seven times prior to that looking for an update and we were never told our loan was on hold. When we finally talked to her, she didn’t show any empathy to our situation and told us that it wasn’t her job after it went to underwriting. Samantha did end up reapplying for our loan and we finally closed four months after that. The whole situation could have been avoided if there was better communication and monitoring of our loan.Read MoreRead Less

From the beginning Kirk made every effort to see that my needs were met. He was very creative in his planning and in fact had to intervene in the underwriting process to straighten things out. He was available and responsive and I don’t think the loan would have closed without Kirk’s knowledge and understanding.
