I would like to say, Mario was definitely the greatest help when It came to the refinance of my home. For a first time refinance he explained everything super easy and followed up daily to make sure he didn’t leave any questions unanswered. It was the greatest experience working with Mario. I enjoyed the outstanding assistance received. Scott was always quick to respond to my inquiries. I believe he obviated when I attempted to ask them how specifically Rocket Mortgage make their money off the refinance loan. When questioned about charges being added back onto my loan balance I was told that must be due to my pending escrow account between my prior loan and my new refi loan. No, ...I enjoyed the outstanding assistance received. Scott was always quick to respond to my inquiries. I believe he obviated when I attempted to ask them how specifically Rocket Mortgage make their money off the refinance loan. When questioned about charges being added back onto my loan balance I was told that must be due to my pending escrow account between my prior loan and my new refi loan. No, he knew what I was referring to as I told him the exact page and lines I was referring to. He went on to explain how any outstanding balance would be reimbursed to me. After 10 minutes more of trying to get a better answer, I gave up. Don't allow yourselves to be fooled. Rocket Mortgage is offering an average rate and the loan is mostly pain-free, but it ends up costing about 2.5% of your outstanding balance added back onto your loan balance. Ok, so almost no money out of pocket but there is a significant cost added to the loan. More so if you compute in the increased interested one will then have to pay on the increased outstanding balance. But hey it's ok all lenders charge those fees. I'm ok with them myself I just wished the employees were upfront. I would also swear the paperwork is designed to be far more confusing than it needs to be.
