I was in process of refinancing with my current bank when my wife decided to check with Rocket Mortgage. Steve was assigned the help us with the loan refinance. I informed Steve that I knew my credit score and that I didn't want to run my credit again if he couldn't not offer better rates than what we currently had. He encouraged us and was adamant on running a credit check because he promised he...I was in process of refinancing with my current bank when my wife decided to check with Rocket Mortgage. The rate and payments we ended up getting from Steve were no where close to being better.

If you don't want to give your SS# "You don't have to". I recommend going to other banks who would love to give you free estimates without running unnecessary credit checks.

JP was fantastic to work with!
