I was in process of refinancing with my current bank when my wife decided to check with Rocket Mortgage. Steve was assigned the help us with the loan refinance. I informed Steve that I knew my credit score and that I didn't want to run my credit again if he couldn't not offer better rates than what we currently had. He encouraged us and was adamant on running a credit check because he promised he...I was in process of refinancing with my current bank when my wife decided to check with Rocket Mortgage. He encouraged us and was adamant on running a credit check because he promised he would provide better rates than we currently had. The rate and payments we ended up getting from Steve were no where close to being better.

If you don't want to give your SS# "You don't have to". I recommend going to other banks who would love to give you free estimates without running unnecessary credit checks.

I don't think Steve was honest and ethical. He set up false hopes and underdelivered.Read MoreRead Less

JP was fantastic to work with! He made the process for our refinance understandable and even though it took longer than any of us anticipated (due to circumstances none of us could avoid), he helped us save so much on our mortgage and made the process easy.
