Michael deliberately misled me to close a deal by insisting the closing payment would be in place of the next month's mortgage even though the closing agent made it clear this was not necessarily true; his supervisor misled me the same way. He also hounded me with messages and calls to get a deal done, most unsolicited outside of business hours (8pm at night, on holidays, etc.). I had asked him to stop but this continued until I relented and agreed to his terms, after which I did not hear from him again. If they are a reflection of the standard of Rocket Mortgage I would not recommend Rocket at all. What Michael and his supervisor did constituted mortgage fraud, completely unethical and illegal. Michael"s genuine concern to assist me made my experience with rock and mortgage that much better. He was professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I misunderstood a couple of the instructions and Michael helped to explain, clarify and facilitate what was needed. Five stars is not enough.

This was our third time working with Rob and Rocket. While Rob was clear about the process, his team lacked the ability to manage a complex one. While Rob was clear about the process, his team lacked the ability to manage a complex one. They sent all our banking details via unsecured email and made numerous mistakes. His team's communications were lacking and full of errors. We closed late and were threatened with a letter to perform because of all the issues with Rocket. They asked for all our documents many times and could not keep the records straight. We went with them because the rate was 0.5% lower than anyone else's due to our relationship with Ameriprise; otherwise, I would never use them. The errors and mistakes are simply not worth it when buying a home or refinancing. I did write to Rob about the issues and was told I could call Rocket. We never felt supported with all the problems. We are still waiting for our refunds from the overpayments. I would highly recommend another team that focuses on customer service and your long-term success. Rocket is not that team. Such a letdown since this loan was for our kids' first home. They had a terrible experience, and we feel bad for them. Can't wait to refi this away from Rocket. And I won't be coming back to them, no matter how good they make the offer. It's simply not worth the headache and security risk. I now pay for credit monitoring since they exposed all our information with zero regard. They did say sorry, they were tired and made a mistake. SMH.
