When Cassidy initially took our loan application we were told we would receive $9K cash AFTER our credit card in the amount of $5K would be paid off. Also, we were required to pay a $500 "good faith" deposit which Cassidy said would be "refunded" to us. At closing our cash-out amount was $9,600. Our credit card debt was not paid. Our $500 deposit that was to be refunded was not...it was...When Cassidy initially took our loan application we were told we would receive $9K cash AFTER our credit card in the amount of $5K would be paid off. Our $500 deposit that was to be refunded was not...it was applied to our old mtg. debt. This $500 was from a credit card so we now have that debt as well. I contacted Cassidy prior to closing on this matter and she told me she was not in the office but upon returning in the next morning would contact me. I never heard from her. Whether it was Cassidy or the VA who was deceptive, I do not know. I only know that the terms presented to me at application time were not what we received. Cassidy herself was personable and very helpful in the beginning. Now...was the loan handled by others down the line? Was it turned over to VA people? It certainly took a long time to process. In fact, I had to call Rocket Mortgage as our locked-in interest rate was ready to expire. All at one it was ready to close. Bottom line is Cassidy misled me. If the terms could not be met as she promised in the beginning, it was her place to inform me of those changes. For that reason I am sorry but I cannot give her a good rating.Read MoreRead Less
