As a realtor, I am very familiar with mortgages and interest rates, so this was frustrating. I ended up having to go to another lender, complete a new application, and bring it back before he would even talk to his supervisor. In the end, that effort saved us—our rate dropped from 5.8% to 4.75%.

Later, when it came time for Verification of Employment, I received several conflicting explanations from August about what was needed. As a military family, we know a LES serves as the required documentation, but he dismissed that instead of confirming the correct process.

Overall, the loan itself went through smoothly, but working with August was disappointing. His arrogance and dismissive attitude made me feel talked down to, which was off-putting, unprofessional and unnecessary.Read MoreRead Less
