Mike was fantastic. We went to Mike to get money to work on the house, but he saw that we had a great deal of debt and suggested a way out by paying off every debt we owed. It was like he threw us a life line. We can now start anew ! We got a good rate and the whole process was start to finish was less than 3 weeks! Mike is very patient and very thorough. Early in our mortgage application process Sage was great to work with. However when met with concerns of the customer regarding how SIGNIFICANTLY (like a point and a half) we would have to buy down our rate to get to the best one we qualified for, he failed to truly attempt to understand our frustration and told us why we should just be happy with it. However when met with concerns of the customer regarding how SIGNIFICANTLY (like a point and a half) we would have to buy down our rate to get to the best one we qualified for, he failed to truly attempt to understand our frustration and told us why we should just be happy with it. Upon researching further and finding a new lender we let Sage know we would no longer be proceeding and thanked him for his service to date. He promptly called me to ask to beat our rates and I explained I was happy with the new rate and appreciated the offer but we would not continue. I shared my disinterest in further research with Rocket Mortgage / Rocket Mortgage was due to how unhappy I was with the customer service around our rate concerns. Sage told me that his service was not why I was unhappy and redirected me to his reviews as a reason why I was incorrect, yet another example of not listening to the customer. Furthermore. After I concluded our discussion he emailed my fiance trying to get him to override the decision we had already made jointly. Acting as if he and I never had a phone conversation (mind you my fiance is the one who emailed to let him know we were moving on). I am not sure what kind of 1950s mentality still exists here where you run to the man of the relationship because the woman's word is not enough, but I can tell you that it is not the mentality of someone I would ever recommend working with.Read MoreRead Less
