Cass not only possessed a strong set of skills, but was also unbievably flexible, helpful, and caring. Being recently dovorced and buying a first home for myself and my four children was a bit daunting and most certainly unfamiliar territory. Cass was helpful in explaining what was going on, what my choices were, and what the next steps would be in the process. He was sensitive to the fact that I worked 12 hour night shifts and would schedule calls for my convenience; one night we were on the phone at 9:30pm going over different scenarios to see how my options for interest rates and down payments would affect my monthly payments. My field is nursing and I have never taken a business class, but I felt empowered by the information Cass gave me. I'm confident I made the best choices for my family because of his help. My questions were always answered throughly and in a timely manner. That was fantastic because it meant my limited free time was not wasted waiting for a reply or navigating a seemingly endless automated phone system. I was able to keep working on my to do list because I would either reach Cass immediately or receive a call or text back in an amazingly short time.
On a more personal note, I never expected a lending company to have employees who seemed to genuinely care about my family or our desire to buy a home and begin the next chapter of our lives. Cass remembered my circumstances, was sensitive to the fact that this was an emotional experience, and would inquire as to how things were going. He offered helpful advice and support when the delay in the finalization of the divorce threatened to cause problems in securing the mortgage. I trusted that Cass and his team were doing everything possible to help and we were able to do it! Tomorrow I close on my home!
My real estate agent was also impressed with Cass, which is saying something because he is a veteran in his field. Larry is 80 years young and with his vast experience, he is not easy to impress - but Cass did!
I have already enthusiastically recommended Cass and Rocket Mortgage to my best friend, as he has just begun the search for a home. I will also continue to recommend Cass in the future. In fact, Cass was recommended to me by one of his college professors as a standout in his field and someone that he trusted to take great care of me during this process. With as many students as a professor has over the years, I knew if he was recommending Cass that I should take that recommendation seriously.
