My husband and I decided to go with Rocket Mortgage when going through a relocation, so we were set up with James. The whole process went very smoothly when getting our pre-approval. We ended up looking for houses for nearly six months and James was very tenacious, checking in every two weeks. At times, I have to admit, I found it annoying (not in a bad way, though) mostly because it was a reminder that, yes, we had not found a house yet. I did appreciate knowing that he had not forgotten about us. When we made offers on houses (we made offers on three houses before our offer was accepted on the fourth house), he was always available for any questions or concerns or, if he was not available, one of his associates got back to us very quickly. I would leave a message for him and he was back to me within the hour, which was great! Even when we ran into some hiccups when the house did not appraise for the agreed upon purchase price, he was very helpful throughout the process and we were able to come to an agreement with the seller. I have to admit that I had not heard a lot of good things about Rocket Mortgage from my realtor and therefore had some reservations. James was persistent after our first conversation that was set up through my relocation company. He checked in with me probably every other week to see how my house hunting was going. When it finally came down to purchasing a home, I looked at some local lenders and then looked back at Rocket Mortgage. The cost structure with Rocket Mortgage was better than any other I could find at the time so I went them. The whole process of uploading information and the timely feedback I was receiving from James and his team was perfect. There were no issues and I couldn't have been more pleased with the ease and personal touch I received. The closing was completed on time with no last minute surprises. James was so efficient. We had attempted to buy a house 6 months ago, and close to the end the house (not the loan) fell through. A lot of work for James and no benefit.
