I lowered my interest rate with my new loan. I asked for a HARP loan and was told this was the same thing. I don't really think it was. I maybe could have gotten a lower rate if I'd investigated HARP loans more, but Rocket Mortgage does HARP loans. I did have to pay $500 for an appraisal. The commercial says HARP does not usually require one. ?????

First went to refiance with my original bank chase. Had chase mortgage for 5 years . Wanted to go from 30 to 15 years. The run around they gave me about why I cant refiance with them. We had a "rocket" fast refinancing for two property in October. It took less than 22 days from the first call to the signing of the closing paperwork. Ned was great, available all the time with quick and competent answers. We loved the online portal where all the documents could be uploaded, reviewed and approved.
