I'd like to thank James Apfel for making our first home purchase a success! Although he is family, he treated us no differently and at times I felt he was being too professional with us even, haha. But he takes his job and the care of his clients very seriously and that's why we choose to work with him. We heard a lot of horror stories about how the loan process could go, but from start to finish I would say our experience was more or less painless! James explained the process to us in detail, let us know who would be contacting us and when, and was available ANYTIME we had questions...which was often as we were first time homebuyers.
