I worked with James for my Rocket Mortgage mortgage. James was excellent at follow-up. He followed-up with me every two weeks, as he promised. Sometimes I didn't want to talk to him because our prior house was in a down market (this was a relocation) and I didn't feel we could look for another home until that one was sold. This was our first experience with Rocket Mortgage, and Brian was the quintessential professional from first contact through the documentation requests, all the way to scheduling closure within FIFTEEN DAYS! I have gone through previous mortgage applications with major banks where they treated me "Like they were doing me a favor", and even the mortgage which replaced by Rocket Mortgage's was ...This was our first experience with Rocket Mortgage, and Brian was the quintessential professional from first contact through the documentation requests, all the way to scheduling closure within FIFTEEN DAYS! I have gone through previous mortgage applications with major banks where they treated me "Like they were doing me a favor", and even the mortgage which replaced by Rocket Mortgage's was approved, then "placed back through underwriting for additional documentation FIVE TIMES, and took three months for final approval, and that approval came on closing day, literally five minutes before the closing was scheduled.

Brian was the complete opposite of the stereotypical "banker". He made himself available AT ALL TIMES, and even returned calls and emails after hours...and I'm not talking about 5:05pm, I'm talking 8pm. That is how dedicated to his customers Brian is.

When Brian quoted me an anticipated closing timeframe and I urged him to please try to expedite it, well, let me say we are closing TWO WEEKS EARLIER than anticipated....and we anticipated a 30 day closure.

So what can I say about Brian? I'd like to buy him a steak dinner. His knowledge base and dedication to his clients is unsurpassed by any mortgage broker I have ever worked with, and I've worked with quite a few.

The "Rocket Mortgage" website is a "godsend" because all the necessary documents are generated and presented or e-signature right online. Brian walks his clients through the entrire signature process and explains all closing costs...and depending on one's situation, may even be able to undercut the prevailing market rate for the day. Brian will not lock-in an interest rate unless he is certain it is the lowest rate the customer can qualify for. He even waited across a weekend (with my permission) to see what the markets were doing on Monday morning, as the 30-year fixed rates had begun to drop at the end of trading on the Friday we spoke. He even promised to lock the interest rate at Friday's closing rate if the interest rates did not continue to decline on Monday.

We ended-up with a fantastic mortgage, great payments, and a process that couldn't have been smoother if it had been made of silk.

Brian and the entire team at Rocket Mortgage deserve the highest accolades and a standing ovation.

I am old and not easily impressed, but in a world where "customer services has come to mean "Do you want fries with that?", Brian exceeds ALL expectations, and he sets the bar for all others in the mortgage industry. Read MoreRead Less
