Working with Michael Green was, without a doubt, one of the most exhausting and agonizing experiences I have ever endured. What should have been a straightforward assumption process dragged on for an unacceptable, stress-filled four months due to gross negligence and complete apathy.
Communication was virtually non-existent unless he needed to show that he was moving the request forward; phone calls and emails routinely went ignored for days on end. Michael frequently took extended leaves of absence for jury duty or personal reasons without giving notice, setting an out-of-office response nor designating anyone to cover his line, leaving us entirely abandoned and in the dark. Because of his sheer incompetence and severe lack of responsiveness, our initial credit report timed out. Adding insult to injury, we were never even notified—we only found out after receiving a formal letter in the mail, forcing us through the frustrating process of having our credit pulled a second time.
At that point his manager stepped in and explicitly assured us he would personally oversee the loan assumption to get it back on track. Instead he vanished completely as well and proved to be just as unreachable.
On top of the severe communication failures, the paperwork was consistently riddled with errors. We were forced through endless, tedious rounds of corrections just to fix basic information. A mortgage banker is supposed to bring expertise, clarity, and efficiency to a major financial transaction, but working with Michael created nothing but hurdles and unnecessary delays.
